What is it about?
During the last Better Business Model Workshop, participants from five different countries learned about key aspects of a business model and how to make it better. Having been introduced to the value propositions of brands such as Warby Parker and Airbnb, participants defined their own with reference to different customer groups. They were further equipped with different business model patterns to challenge and improve their initial ideas. The result of the first workshop were three business models targeting support for refugees, food education and feel-good work environment. Participants also left with an outlook of what next steps to take.
What you can expect
We will start with exploring existing businesses in order to understand the different aspects and dimensions of a better business model. Then we will challenge these first ideas with different business model patterns. At the end of the day we will have a first version of a business model and an outlook on what next steps to take (like creating a quick prototype).
- Explore existing companies and their business models
- Understand the different aspects of a better business model
- Start creating your own better business model based on customer needs
- Learn about resources you can use and specific approaches you can apply in practice
What participants say
The Better Business Model workshop helped me have more clarity about my business model and to get feedback and input from the other participants. I also had a great time with balanced theory and practice of the tools we learned.
